Martin Deas, better known as “Marty” was born on February 19, 1957 in Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx, NY. He was the second of twin boys to James and Gertrude Deas, who already has 3 sons.
He lived in Throggs Neck, in the North Bronx until moving in 1966 to St. Albans, Queens.
Marty’s formal education was in Queens, NY where he graduated from Cardozo High School and attended Manhattan Community College.
Marty became an Armed Security Officer before called to NYPD where he was assigned to the Transit Police Department.
After 7 years of duty he decided that was not his forte. He went back into Armed Security.
He attended Lutheran Resurrection Church with friends and sometimes attended Shekinah Youth Church. He did odd jobs for neighborhood folks and became well loved on Farmers Blvd. Some called him the Mayor of Farmers Blvd.
Marty was preceded in death by his father James, and brothers Leslie and Gerald. Marty leaves to mourn, his Mommy, brother Ernie and beloved twin brother Mark, numerous cousins and a host of friends.
