Obituary

Norman Darnell Johnson, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 46. Originally from Long Island, New York, he was born on June 28, 1979, in Mineola and raised in Westbury, New York, formally known as “low cash”. He was the beloved son of Norman Joiner, Bernice Johnson-Johnson and John Johnson. Norman graduated from Westbury High School, where he proudly played on the school’s football team. In the summer of 2024, he relocated to Gastonia, North Carolina, where he continued building his life, family, and businesses.

Norman was a devoted partner to Bria, with whom he shared 12 loving years. He was a proud father of nine children—five queens and four kings: Kiandra, Carmen, Antoinette, Kalif, Andrew, Princess, Brieanna, Gabriel, and Malichi—and a loving grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren; Kyron, Azai, Najiyyah, Avyan, Katana, and Kohana. Known for his big heart and generous spirit. Norman was always willing to help others and deeply valued spending time with his family and creating lasting memories together.

Professionally, Norman worked in security but was also a passionate entrepreneur. He owned and operated a car detailing business, Total Car Care, and alongside his partner Bria ran Seafood Platters To Go. He volunteered his time at the Frisco City Volunteer Fire Department alongside his brother Melvin Witten. He had recently expanded into trucking and transportation, continuing to pursue new opportunities. Norman also had a strong spiritual foundation—attending Bible camp as a child and later studying at Bible College , where he enjoyed learning the Word of the Lord. Norman is survived by his partner Bria and their 3 children, his mother , 6 adult children, 6 grandchildren, sister Breanna Joiner and a host of relatives and friends. He will be remembered for his uplifting spirit and his favorite words: “Good morning good people, lets make today a great one purpose. Blessings.”
